Acupuncture & Cuppings
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medical practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to balance energy flow and promote healing. It’s used globally to treat pain, stress, and various health issues.
Natural Herbal Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal medicine uses natural herbs to restore balance and health. It involves diagnosing imbalances in the body’s energy (Qi) and prescribing specific herbal combinations to treat ailments and enhance well-being.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy involves the manipulation of muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues of the body to improve health and well-being. Various techniques are used by therapists to enhance function, aid in the healing process, reduce muscle reflex activity, inhibit motor-neuron excitability, and promote relaxation and well-being.

Frequently Asked Questions for New Patients
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese therapy that uses thin needles to stimulate specific acupoints, regulating Qi and blood to promote the body’s natural healing. It’s rooted in a vast theoretical framework, including Yin-Yang balance, meridian theories, and the Five Elements.
Recent research has shown that acupuncture can also be explained from a modern medical perspective. For instance, it helps stimulate the release of substances like endorphins and adenosine, which alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and improve mood. This unique blend of traditional wisdom and modern science highlights acupuncture’s effectiveness and broad potential applications.
I completely understand people’s fear of needles, but acupuncture needles are entirely different from ordinary needles. They are extremely thin and lack fluid channels, making the process surprisingly painless for most patients.
In some cases, patients may feel sensations like slight soreness, numbness, or a dull ache after the needle is inserted. This is called “De Qi” in Chinese medicine—a therapeutic sensation that signifies effective treatment. Occasional brief discomfort may occur if a needle touches a superficial nerve, but this is rare and far less intense than people imagine.
There isn’t a definitive answer because each individual’s condition, habits, and underlying causes are unique. Typically, new patients are advised to undergo 4–6 sessions as a general guideline.
In my experience, some patients feel significant relief after just one session, while others require months of continuous treatment. During my doctoral studies, I learned about survivorship bias—patients who experience significant benefits are more likely to continue treatment and refer others. However, those who only come a few times and stop may have either recovered or not seen desired results. This is why I emphasize transparency and tailored treatment plans based on feedback and progress.
Acupuncture is highly versatile and can address a wide range of conditions. Some of the most common include:
- Pain management: Neck and back pain, knee pain, migraines, arthritis.
- Stress-related issues: Insomnia, anxiety, depression.
- Endocrine disorders: Irregular menstruation, menopausal symptoms.
- Chronic conditions: High blood pressure, digestive disorders, allergic rhinitis.
I specialize in pain management and stress-related conditions, such as migraines, neck pain, and insomnia caused by anxiety or depression. With extensive experience in these areas, I strive to provide effective and personalized care for every patient.

Get One Step Ahead Of Disease
